Two Way specialises in the development of interactive enhanced TV and can do, by building a specific application to the requirements of a particular program or by using its' existing library of interactive applications. These applications can include features like, interactive voting, TV game shows interaction, sports fantasy betting and interactive games.
Enhanced television enables channels and production companies to invite their viewers to take part in game shows, play branded interactive games, participate in broadcast sporting events, view different video content and generally interact with their channel.
By pressing the `red button' a viewer downloads an application into their Set Top Box and can then participate with the broadcast program by `guessing along' with contestants in a quiz show, by switching to extra video content, by voting, or by playing an interactive game. As an example, an enhanced interactive game show allow viewers to answer the same questions being put to the studio contestant, as well as compete against each other on the network for the chance to win prizes.
eTV services offer a new and exciting form of interactive television entertainment intended to leverage the popularity of scheduled television programmes to create a full range of interactive entertainment and play-along opportunities. Viewers join in using the standard digital TV remote control, selecting options from synchronised on-screen prompts.
With our experienced staff and internationally successful technology, Two Way is eminently suited to provide the best interactive treatment available.
Some examples of eTV applications that have been built and deployed in Australia and the UK are: UKTV's Supernova, Frasier Marathon, BBC's `Antiques Roadshow' and 'Test the Nation', Channel 4's 'Big Brother' and 'Fifteen to One' (daily gameshow), and Sky Sports' 'Sky Play' (in-running prediction game during live English Premier League soccer).
